Do you charge a fee for your services?
We generally do not charge a design fee for hotel-only bookings if you have a specific stay in mind. Reach out to us if you’re simply looking to take advantage of our competitive hotel rates and possible perks.
The fees range dependent on how complex the itinerary is. The standard itinerary planning fee is from $250 and this is redeemable against your booking. Our design fee varies depending on the complexity and length of your trip, and the number of travelers. We’ll share the associated design fee with you after your complimentary consultation call and before the research and planning begins so there are no surprises!
Are you paid a commission? Does the commission add to the cost of the trip?
Travel advisors are paid on a fee + commission basis. The fee is to compensate for the significant amount of time dedicated to planning your trip, whereas the commission is a small percentage from the travel supplier that is issued only after you have completed your travel with us. The commission is a standard industry practice where travel advisors, like us, receive a thank-you fee from travel partners for bringing them business. Whether you book directly with a hotel or through us, the cost remains the same. Our commitment is to ensure you receive the best value and experience for your investment.
When should I start planning my trip?
We strive to accommodate our clients' needs. Trip requests within 90 days are subject to availability. It's always best to plan ahead for the most enjoyable and stress-free experience.
We recommend planning at least 6-9 months in advance for most destinations and 9-12 months in advance for bucket-list trips. This ensures best availability and pricing, and it allows us to curate an exceptional and seamless experience.
What if a new or better promotion pops up after I book?
When new promotions are available, we will check our clients’ trips to make sure they are getting the best deal possible.
What type of hotels and travel partners do you work with?
We are proud to have established professional relationships with 4 and 5-star hotels, as well as luxury travel partners globally. These relationships ensure that every accommodation and experience is personally vetted.
Can you book Airbnb accommodations?
We cannot assist with Airbnb specifically due to third-party booking restrictions and being unable to ensure quality. We do, however, have access to other vacation-home properties and villas through our vetted partners.
Can I use points or miles for hotels?
Using points for hotels is examined on a case-by-case basis and will incur a 10% service fee to account for the commission loss for the travel advisor.
Can I use points or miles for airfare?
As a points and miles girly myself, the use of miles/points for airfare specifically is always encouraged and definitely the way for you to get the most "bang for your buck" for those hard-earned loyalty points. You will just need to confirm the booking on your own and forward us the confirmation to ensure a seamless experience with the multiple components of your trip.
Do you provide a detailed, line-item breakdown of pricing for my trip?
In some cases, we are unable to provide line-item pricing and instead will typically provide one complete price for your trip. Due to confidential supplier contracts, we may not have, or are often not permitted to provide pricing for individual components.
Do I really need travel insurance?
Purchasing travel insurance is optional, however travel insurance is available and strongly recommended to protect your travel investment. Many trips, such as tours and cruises, involve non-refundable funds paid months in advance. Travel insurance protects you from losing this investment. Even if your trip isn't canceled, there are still many scenarios in which travel insurance can be especially helpful, including travel delays, illness, and injury. Trip interruption due to illness or unforeseen circumstances can be expensive, and medical care abroad is often not covered by domestic insurance plans. Protecting your investment ensures you can travel with peace of mind.
